A voice over begins the sequence on a black screen 'its funny really its like I have this built in lateometer' the video fades in - a low angled medium close up of a male character running - we can assume the voiceover is his as he is running. He is smartly dressed showing he is either a high class working man or going to a formal event, the camera stays relatively steady showing it is most likely on a dolly. He runs off screen and the camera cuts to a female sitting on a fence with a suitcase, the male explains he 'just can't be late' so we can assume he is going to meet her. We return to a dolly or tracking shot side on, the male runs into shot and the camera stays with him. A medium shot of the girl shows her facial expression, she looks down away from the camera with her arms folded to show she is upset/disappointed. In a long shot the male character runs across a street, there is on screen diegetic sound of a car horn but in a fast cut close up we see him avoid being hit and he continues to run. The same car rolls into shot in a close up at a low angle and we see the legs and suitcase of the girl, parallel cuts show the male still running and the girl getting into the car. He stops in a medium long shot and shouts 'Keria...please'. A shot reverse shot shows an eye line match, they don't say anything but their facial expressions show how she is still upset/disappointed and he is desperate and sorry. An extreme long shot displays Keira getting into the car and leaving. We see his disappointment in a close up and suggests the title means he was too late to fix it, he bows his head and says 'I'm sorry' before turning and walking away. This is a classic romantic situation that doesn't work out, it is dramatic and emotional so fits into the romance genre.

In a medium long shot he walks away but a female voice shouts 'Jake' and we can assume it is keira. The camera cuts to a medium close up side on to show Jake slowly turn his head, and a close up of keira shows his view. In a shot reverse shot we see him smile and she begins to run cutting to a long shot with her running towards him, he runs off camera. This again being common in romantic films however in a medium shot meets in the middle and keira runs into shot but Jake runs through her, confusing the audience. She stands alone, crossing her arms with her head down as a sound of a car horn raises in the background, this is a plot twist and makes the film more dramatic. The editing shows her and him flashing quickly between the two, she has her hands raised and he is on the floor. It is clear he has been hit by the car from before, showing an alternative ending but this is the true one. The camera pans across his face in a close up as he says '30 seconds too late, and the earlier end well, that would be a different story'. This explains how as he is always late, had he been 30 seconds earlier the first ending would have been true.

There is ambient sound throughout the whole short film, a soundtrack of a love song that is a syntactic code to the romantic genre. However, this short film is also a drama due to the ending, this is shown through strong editing and the built up tension in them meeting.
