Applying Media Language to the final idea

Camera work:
We aim to use a variety of techniques in camerawork for our short film, using the shots to create interesting view points and suggest important events. For example:
When looking for a board game we will have the camera looking directly up at the character as if the audience is the board game or as if the board game is watching him.
Another example is we will have the camera in an extreme close up when the cheat picks up the chance card to emphasise its importance. This is similar to shots used in the film 'Jumanji' to show the riddles:

Editing:
This will be important as we plan to do a time-lapse sequence to speed up the process of playing the game and show the advance in time. It will be time consuming to get right and with the help of the technicians it should go to plan, to get it right we will have to film multiple times and chose the best outcome. We want our shots to flow and we intend to film as soon as we can to leave as much time as we can for editing, along with needing to match up the dialogue with the visual will take time. Therefore time management will be one of our priorities.

Mise en scene:
The setting wont need to be changed too drastically, some photos may need to be moved if in shot due to the photos not being of any of the actors. The actors themselves will be dressed smart casual because its a nice evening in but they would make an effort with what they wear.
Sound:
We will be recording all of our sound separate in order to have the best quality in our short film. We aim to do a large amount of research into our non-diegetic and diegetic sound to make sure it works parallel to the film.
